Jodelle Ferland has been sworn to secrecy. She's not allowed to say much about the part she just landed in the third Twilight movie, Eclipse.
"I'm allowed to tell people that I play a vampire who has just been turned," the 14-year-old Canadian actress tells me. "In other words, I'm a newborn vampire. I'm not allowed to say the name of the character."
So if she won't say whether her character is Team Edward or Team Jacob, what's her pick in real life?
It's Team Edward all the way for Jodelle.

"I just think if maybe Jacob had been introduced first then everybody would like him better," she said. "It just seems that since Edward was the first one to be with Bella, people want him to stay with her. So, you know, that's the character that you start to like first! And then Jacob comes into the picture and everybody's like, 'Oh, no! Stay with Edward.'"
Jodelle says she's "really, really excited to meet Robert Pattinson." As are her friends. "Every single person I've told has asked me if they could come to the set," she said, adding with a laugh, "I've said, 'I'll have to think about that.'"
How did Jodelle celebrate snagging a part in what's destined to be one of the most successful movie franchises ever?
"You know, I was just thinking about that yesterday," she said. "I was just thinking that I haven't done anything yet. I need to think of something. Basically, I just jumped up and down and then I went into my room and watched a movie on my mini-DVD player.
"Actually, it wasn't a movie," she continued. "I was watching The Addams Family�the old ones, not the movie."
That sounds like a suitably ghoulish celebration for what could be the start of a monster career.

Case 39 US Release Info

case39 finally on the release, we will see the new posters up in Australia starting of last week in cinemas.

'Silent Hill' Writer and Producer Duo Return for Sequel

Familiar faces from "Silent Hill" are making their return to the video game adaptation. According to The Hollywood Reporter, screenwriter Roger Avary and producer Samuel Hadida have come on board "Silent Hill 2", the sequel to the 2006 horror thriller. The two signed on while no director has been attached to the project.
Confirmation of Avary's return was in contrast to his 2007 remark to Shock Till You Drop. At the time, he indicated that he won't be making a return should director Christophe Gans refuse to return to the director's chair for the second time. "I'm not gonna do Silent Hill 2," he said. "If Christophe's not gonna do it, I'm not..."
Roger Avary is known for his work on Quentin Tarantino's "Pulp Fiction". His writing credits include "The Rules of Attraction" and "Beowulf". He is writing for videogame adaptation of "Return to Castle Wolfenstein". Samuel Hadida, in the meantime, �

Roger Avary is Returning to Silent Hill

There will be more shenanigans in Silent Hill. The 2006 film, directed by Christoph Gans didn't do terribly well, but Konami's game series is a perpetual seller, suggesting that there is room for another film. So screenwriter Roger Avary is re-teaming with producer Samuel Hadida to rebuild the foggy, freaky town. Or perhaps Konami is just jealous that Capcom will soon collect yet another Resident Evil licensing package when they've only nabbed one. (Hadida has the right idea; he produces both franchises.) Can't say this is terribly exciting; Avary's script was arguably the real weak link in the original film. Gan brought fog and atmosphere, Carol Spier did some excellent production design work, and I liked some of the cast, which included Radha Mitchell, Sean Bean, Laurie Holden, Alige Krige and Tideland's Jodelle Ferland. Eclipse Set Photos Newborns in Forks

Screenwriter Roger Avary and producer Samuel Hadida of Davis Films have signed on for a sequel to their 2006 video game adaptation "Silent Hill". The original, based on the Konami game, starred Radha Mitchell, Sean Bean, Laurie Holden, Deborah Kara Unger, Kim Coates, Tanya Allen and Jodelle Ferland. Christophe Gans directed the TriStar Pictures release, which earned $97.6 million worldwide. Davis Films aims to shoot the movie next year after "Resident Evil: Afterlife", which it is now preparing to shoot. Avary is also penning video game adaptation "Return To Castle Wolfenstein" for Davis Films.... �

Set Pics From The Twilight Saga: Eclipse

With filming underway on next year�s follow up to The Twilight Saga: New Moon, set pictures have started doing the rounds online!
The new images give us our first look at some �newborn� vampires from The Twilight Saga: Eclipse and come courtesy of Vancity Allie. Also on set were Riley (Xavier Samuel) and Bree (Jodelle Ferland) although sadly there�s no mention of the big three � Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart this time around. Vancity Allie has more:
I had a chance to see a new set being filmed for Eclipse� the scene where the newborns arrive in Forks. It�s a picturesque scene, with mountains and water framing the background of the shot, and a sparse unoccupied beach for the newborns to arrive on� then they disappear into the forest. The vampire newborns looked absolutely chilling, and their rugged military-like outfits along with steely, determined glares just added to the mood. �

Moon Phases Dictating Twilight Saga: New Moon and Eclipse Premieres?

Coincidence? Brilliant marketing campaign? Or just downright spooky? All across the Net today light bulbs have been going off above people's heads as they realized that on November 16th, 2009, the date for the official premiere of Summit's first Twilight Saga sequel, New Moon, there will be a legitimate "new moon". And that's just the half of it!
Also, on June 26th, 2010, a partial lunar eclipse will occur. Assuming Summit follows its usual routine of premiering the film four days before its official release date, that will mean Eclipse (on track for a June 30th release) will be screened for the first time during an actual ... eclipse.

Jodelle Ferland talks 'Eclipse,' months ago

She wasn't "officially" cast in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse until August, but Jodelle Ferland has apparently been talking about her spot in Eclipse since July. At least that's what Twilight Lexicon has to say about it.
In this video interview, Ferland describes why it is that she's suited for her role as "Bree," the newborn (and insatiably thirsty) vampire.
Also, Ferland discusses her audition and her "team" affiliation (she chose Edward) in this interview with ET Canada.

Paramount Sets a Date for Case 39

On the eve of his second American film's release, Pandorum , director Christian Alvart will finally see his Case 39 reach the U.S. Paramount Pictures has set a January 1, 2010 debut. Starring Ren�e Zellweger, Jodelle Ferland, Ian McShane and Bradley Cooper, the film - penned by The Crazies ' Ray Wright, follows a social worker who saves an abused 10-year-old girl from her parents only to discover that the girl is not as innocent as she thinks. Case 39 doesn't face any genre competition that day, but Lionsgate's Daybreakers hits the following week. After Carriers and Paranormal Activity - the latter release earlier this month and the latter opening this week - I think that about does it as far as delayed genre titles sitting on the Paramount shelf. �
