Demi Moore has parlayed her fame into a lasting, headline-grabbing career: two nude Vanity Fair covers, one marriage to Hollywood heavy hitter Bruce Willis, and another to 16-years-younger Ashton Kutcher.
Five years after emerging on the '80s scene as a member of Hollywood's Brat Pack, Moore starred in the career-making Ghost. Later came the controversial sexual-harassment film Disclosure, the saucy stripper tale Striptease and the commando drama G.I. Jane, for which she famously shaved her head.
But it was that 1991 Vanity Fair cover, showing a naked and very pregnant Moore, that planted her solidly in pop-cultural consciousness. Still, nothing got people talking more than her relationship with Kutcher and their walk on the Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle red carpet with Moore's three daughters and ex-husband Willis. The same group gathered together in 2005 for Moore and Kutcher's Kabbalah wedding
Demi Moore got her real name, Demetria, from a beauty product her mother saw in a magazine.
Dubbed "Gimme Moore" at the height of her fame for her extravagant demands, the actress insisted on two jets to transport her and her entourage while filming and promoting G. I. Jane.
To prepare for her starring role in Striptease, 33-year-old Demi Moore followed a daily regimen that included a long predawn run, up to three hours of dance rehearsal, a session with a personal trainer and two hours of yoga.
Four weeks after a quickie Vegas wedding, Demi Moore and Bruce Willis threw a huge black-tie bash in Los Angeles, complete with 10 bridesmaids.
Demi Moore hired a film crew of three to record the birth of her first child, Rumer Willis

White Wedding Day
Moore, 18, marries rocker Freddie Moore, 30, whose last name she adopts as her own. Their marriage lasts for four years, and ends amicably. "I'm not surprised she's now the star she is," he later tells London's Daily Mirror. "She's a genius." The following year, she plays reporter Jackie Templeton on General Hospital. "She had street smarts," GH veteran Norma Connolly tells PEOPLE. "She learned fast."
Brat Pack Unleashed
Moore plays the emotionally damaged Jules in the hit St. Elmo's Fire. Before filming begins, though, director Joel Schumacher pressures the young actress to get treatment for her drug and alcohol problems. "I didn't want to do what they had done with John Belushi," he tells PEOPLE in 1997, "which was just give her the money to kill herself." The movie helps launch her, boyfriend Emilio Estevez, Rob Lowe, Judd Nelson, Ally Sheedy and Andrew McCarthy into Brat Pack fame.
